“The performance was wonderful!  Everyone who came commented on how impressed they were with the production.  Our pastor and his wife really fell in love with your solo to the Breath of Heaven song.

Everyone was beautiful - you and all of the instructors at BADA are so amazing.  I love that my sweet girl has found such a warm and loving environment to pursue her passion.  And it really is a passion for her.  She loves every minute.”

“THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR TALKING DAYS!!!!!!!!! I wanted to let you know that I started my Intro to Dance Studies class today. This course is the pre-requisite for Dance History and all dance majors are required to take it. The instructor, Mrs. Jenny (founder of Backhaus Dance company), gave a mini quiz at the very beginning of class. The quiz had 3 sections; each section was facts about famous people in American dance history: Martha Graham, George Balanchine and Alvin Ailey. Thanks to the extensive talking days I’ve sat through, I was able to answer every question about George Balanchine correctly. And give interesting facts about his life, such as “he invented B+”, “he married a lot of his dancers.” And I listed off the most titles of his work. Talking days really work and it's crazy how much I remembered.

P.S. We use the same ballet dictionary as the textbook for my ballet technique class with Mrs. Kim Olmos. So thank you for making me carry it to ballet class for 8 years.”

“I hope you have had a day or two to relish in the glory of a perfect performance weekend.  While I can only guess that there were glitches, your audience saw nothing but creativity, hard work, and flawless performances.  I am always proud to be on your team as a dedicated BADA and KARIZMA family and volunteer, but it was a real pleasure for me to be a “dancer” with the Hot Mamas.  I am not a dancer (obviously) nor have I ever had interest in theater – or anything else that put me on stage in front of people.  You, your teachers, and all of the BADA students earned an entirely new kind of respect from me.  How do you learn so many dances?  How do you remember them?  How do you do it right over and over again?  And how do you look so beautiful doing all of this at the same time?

Mary Elizabeth and I were talking after the ballet – as I was just bursting with excitement and amazement at what you put together – and she told me that in addition to all of the sets and sound and lights and the costumes and the direction and the “putting together” of the Into the Woods story, you choreographed all but a few of those amazing dances.  We are so lucky to have you.

I follow your Facebook posts and I read the quotes and inspirational messages that you share – and in addition to our admiration for your talents and gifts that you share with BADA students and families, our family is truly grateful for the role model you are to Mary Elizabeth and your other students.  She learns to accept constructive criticism – but not lose confidence.  She strives to be better in every class.  She reads evaluations and wants to score higher.  She listens to your notes and tries to improve for performances.  Thank you for helping us mold a young lady of strong character.

I really just wanted to tell you in fewer words than I have typed that we are so happy you and Drew bought the studio.  We are so happy for the direction you are taking it.  We support your dreams and appreciate your support of Mary Elizabeth’s.

Into the Woods was truly the best ballet I have seen in person.”

-Betsey Huneycutt, BADA Parent

“Thank you for all your hard work to provide her with such quality instruction in ballet.  Dean and I were delighted to see her dance the amazing Flowers piece and to see her joy at dancing Snow White.  She wanted, as always, to make you proud, especially since she was dancing choreography that you had danced when you were Snow White.  Her evaluation made her feel that she had made you proud in the end.

We also want to thank you for the wonderful experience you are providing at BADA.  All the instructors are great and there seemed to be such a positive energy everywhere this year!

You and Drew have enhanced and improved all aspects of the studio!  The performance was better than ever, the ballet was amazing, and we were all pleased with everything from start (KARIZMA and K II in August) to finish (the last night of the ballet)!  As Anna begins this summer’s classes, we already feel the excitement of another great dance year!”

- The Medleys, BADA Parents

“BADA is so much more than just a dance studio to my family. BADA creates a loving, nurturing environment where my girls have been able to develop their love of dance but have also learned responsibility and the importance of working hard to achieve their goals. BADA instructors are talented, creative, inspiring and are wonderful, positive role models. They are passionate about helping dancers reach their fullest potential on stage and in life.”

- Angela Parham, BADA Parent

“BADA becomes like your second home, instilling values beyond the dance floor, while teaching you everything you need to know about dance. There is so much love and support from the faculty and your fellow students to help you achieve your fullest potential in dance. It’s truly the best!”

- Anna Medley, BADA Alumna

“At BADA, the classes are fun and the teachers teach us how to do the steps correctly. Some places don’t do a lot for boy dancers but BADA does!”

"You won’t find a higher quality dance experience in all of Alamance County. They set the “barre” high and they reach it!”

- Elijah Chester, BADA Parent

"My daughter took dance at BADA for about 14 years. Ballet, tap and jazz. Later, she and her husband performed an amazing bride/groom first dance, complete with him holding her over his head with her back arched and spinning her around! And they’re still dancing. This is a wonderful place to grow a love of dance that will last for ages. “

- Pat Rice, BADA Parent

"The dedication of the staff and their commitment to instruct, train and care for dancers is outstanding. They always strive for excellence and it is reflected in the students and it is a safe place for them to thrive, grow and develop not only as dancers but students develop friendships that are long lasting even after graduation. Our daughter has danced here for 16 years and we highly recommend BADA!"
